Are you an experienced finance professional ready to lead and enhance financial operations during a pivotal period? We are seeking an Interim Senior Finance Professional for a 6-month fixed-term contract with our Social Housing client, to oversee the Finance functions, ensuring robust controls, compliance, and high-quality reporting as it heads into Year end, and to cover whilst a permanent role is being recruited. The role is 50/50 Hybrid with an expectation of 2-3 days in lovely, well-appointed offices, based in Greater Manchester.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Leadership: Support the Finance Director to enable the finance team to deliver accurate and timely financial information.
- Year-End Management: Lead the preparation of statutory accounts and coordinate audit activities.
- Tax and Treasury: Oversee tax compliance, including VAT, PAYE, and Corporation Tax, and manage treasury operations.
- Operational Oversight: Supervise budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes to maintain operational excellence.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to statutory regulations and implement effective risk management frameworks.
About You:
- Qualifications: CCAB-qualified accountant with a proven track record in financial leadership.
- Expertise: Strong knowledge of financial controls, reporting, VAT & Statutory compliance.
- Skills: Excellent communicator and natural mentoring and leadership abilities.
- Attributes: Proactive and results-driven, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
