Baylis is looking for an experienced MET Technician to join our busy Accident Repair Centre in Cheltenham. You'll be responsible for the safe removal, repair and refitting of mechanical, electrical and trim components, ensuring repairs are completed to manufacturer standards and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Remove and refit mechanical, electrical and trim (MET) components.
  • Identify additional damage and liaise with the Workshop Controller/VDA.
  • Carry out repairs to mechanical systems including suspension, steering and braking components.
  • Use diagnostic equipment for fault finding, calibrations and system resets.
  • Complete ADAS calibrations and post-repair checks where required.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, accurately and within agreed timescales.
  • Maintain accurate repair records and follow all health and safety procedures.

About You

  • NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
  • ATA/IMI MET accreditation desirable.
  • Previous bodyshop or accident repair centre experience.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical and diagnostic skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Excellent attention to detail and team-working attitude.
