Bayley & Sage is growing, and we currently have an opportunity for a Warehouse Assistant
About the role
As a member of the Logistics Hub, you will participate in daily operations, carrying all the tasks as delegated by the Supply Chain Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for receiving and unloading deliveries quickly and safely
- Responsible for ensuring deliveries are checked in according to company policy, and putting them away quickly and efficiently
- Responsible for rotating stock according to FIFO, checking the quality of fresh food and reporting items for wastage to Supply Chain Manager
- Responsible for organising the warehouse according to the established system so that items are easy to find for picking and despatch to include correct labelling
- Responsible for picking and packing deliveries for despatch according to instructions given by Supply Chain Manager ensuring items are labelled accurately
- Responsible for delivering outstanding customer service to all suppliers and staff of Bayley & Sage.
- Responsible for keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and free of hazards
- Responsible for following all Health and Safety guidelines as directed by Supply Chain Manager
About you
- You will be a hard worker, willing to roll your sleeves up and get on with the job at hand. You are looking for a long-term position and have a positive, ‘can-do’ attitude.
- You will be physically capable as heavy lifting is involved in the day-to-day role.
- You will be available to work across 7 days as our business is open 7 days a week.
- To be successful in this role you will need a strong work ethic, attention to details, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and as part of a team.
- Ultimately, you are passionate about delivering great service on time and with a smile.
- Desirable: Valid UK driving licence
