Operations Analyst — Bayforest Technologies, London
Bayforest is hiring an Operations Analyst to own the day-to-day trade lifecycle and asset servicing for our Equity Market Neutral programme, systematic futures and OTC books.
You'll work closely with trading, research and technology, ensuring positions, cash, P&L and reference data are accurate, and helping automate the controls behind them.
What you'll do
- Own trade capture, confirmation, allocation, settlement and fails management across equities, futures and OTC.
- Manage corporate actions end to end, including elections, dividends, withholding tax, entitlements and P&L impact.
- Run daily position, cash and P&L reconciliations and investigate breaks to root cause.
- Manage futures and FX forward expiries, rolls, margin and collateral.
- Support trading lifecycle events.
- Monitor stock borrow, locates and short-sell eligibility.
- Manage day-to-day relationships with brokers, custodians, administrators and vendors.
- Partner with technology to automate operational control, recurring checks should become monitored jobs.
- Support NAV oversight, regulatory obligations and new broker, account and market onboarding.
- Maintain clean corporate action, symbology and reference data for research and production systems.
What we're looking for
- 3+ years' experience in operations or middle office at a hedge fund, asset manager, prime broker or bank.
- Strong hands-on equities corporate actions experience.
- Practical experience with listed futures and OTC derivatives, including swaps/CFDs and FX forwards.
- Strong trade lifecycle and reconciliation experience across brokers, custodians and administrators.
- Familiarity with OMS/PMS and post-trade platforms.
- Strong Excel skills; Python and SQL are a plus.
- Meticulous, deadline-driven and comfortable taking ownership when something does not reconcile.
