Assistant Private Banker Edinburgh Job Purpose We are seeking an Assistant Private Banker to support senior banking professionals in managing defined client portfolios.
The successful candidate will be responsible for handling day-to-day client administration while delivering an exceptional level of service to a diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities Establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients, including through both in-person and online meetings.
Handle day-to-day banking and administrative matters, including payment processing, account opening, foreign exchange and deposit requirements, with a particular emphasis on retail and commercial clients.
Assist with the preparation of internal credit applications and the regular monitoring of existing borrowing in accordance with relevant credit policies and procedures.
Develop a strong understanding of internal banking systems and processes.
Undertake and support ad-hoc business projects as required, including involvement in new product launches.
Use effective questioning and listening skills to understand and establish client and prospective client needs.
Maintain accurate and relevant client records in line with company procedures and data protection requirements.
Assist with Anti-Money Laundering requirements across a variety of client types.
Work collaboratively with colleagues across Credit Risk, Client Operations, Financial Crime and other departments to deliver an exceptional client experience and support wider business objectives.
Complete mandatory training, e Learning and other assigned development activities within required timescales.
