Technical Planning Intern – 12 Month Internship (July 2026)
Entity, Location – Rolls Royce Motor Cars, Goodwood.
Our team is seeking an intern to join from July 2026. You will support the Product and Structure Planning teams as well as our Production Specialists with project related activities for existing and new model / structure projects.
What awaits you?
- Supporting the Planning team in the procurement and preparation for new Rolls‑Royce model integration within the paint shop.
- A unique opportunity to also support the construction and equipment‑planning of the new paint facility.
- Reviewing concept maturity and change requirements in preparation for equipment commissioning.
- Evaluation and feasibility assessment of new equipment and controls technologies for the new paint facility.
- Reviews and updates to structure layout and engineering drawings.
- Data gathering, analysis and continuous process improvements.
- Assisting in planning and preparation of new model vehicle build phases.
- Ergonomics and Industrial Engineering assessments if required.
- Streamlining of reporting requirements and preparation for annual audits.
What should you bring along?
- Studying a Bachelor’s or integrated Master’s degree and on track to achieve a 2:2 or above in Automotive/Mechanical/Mechatronics/Industrial Engineering or similar course.
- Experience with MS Excel / Office Suite, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), SharePoint, Power BI and other business analytics tools.
- Planning and organisational skills.
- Able to show initiative and work independently.
- MicroStation or similar drawing package experience is preferable.
- Experience with technical drawings and software is preferred (ie. CAD).
- German language skills are advantageous.
