Exceptional premium products can only be produced using perfectly maintained, highly automated systems and innovative technologies. To ensure our production continues to operate smoothly, we are looking for Maintenance Technicians for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in Goodwood.

Our exterior surface centre is looking for a Maintenance Technician to ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with legal requirements, including safe working practices and accident prevention as per risk assessments. You will be responsible for responding to and repairing production equipment issues promptly, ensuring manufacturing facilities operate to the required KPIs. Additionally, you will handle repair and refurbishment of production equipment as needed.

What Awaits You:

  • Respond to production facility failures and restore equipment to optimal condition swiftly using appropriate skills and knowledge.
  • Perform all planned maintenance, PM tasks, checks, and measurements as required.
  • Identify failures and contribute to continuous improvement in your area of work.
  • Follow up on automated recordings, trend analyses, and incidental effects.
  • Escalate support requirements effectively during breakdowns.
  • Demonstrate a proactive attitude in identifying and resolving issues.
  • Use initiative to actively engage in facility improvements to enhance Technical Availability, undertaking small projects as part of this activity.
  • Communicate clearly and appropriately at different levels within the organization.
  • Show willingness to train and support team members.

What You Should Bring:

  • A recognized engineering apprenticeship with a Technical Qualification at NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Act on your own initiative and proactively.
  • Work independently.
  • Be an active team player with good communication skills.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of relevant control systems, automation equipment, robot technology (e.g., ABB, KUKA), drive technology (e.g., Siemens, SEW), camera systems (e.g., Vision Tools, Cognex, Keyence), network technology including mobile networks, fieldbus technology, and control cabinet construction, including mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Possess knowledge of Maintenance systems (e.g., Smart Maintenance, SAP).
  • Specific skills and knowledge will be detailed in the local Training matrix.

Please note this position involves working night shifts. Initially, you will work core day hours before transitioning to night shift hours, which are from 20:30 to 06:00, totaling 45 hours per week.
