We are seeking an Instructional Design Manager to lead the creation of high‑quality digital and blended learning solutions that empower capability building across our Research & Development (R&D) teams.

Scope of Your Position

As a vital member of the global R&D Training team, you will collaborate across all R&D clusters and sub‑clusters, working closely with cross‑functional partners throughout Bayer Pharma.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Transform complexity into clarity: Translate intricate topics into clear, engaging digital learning solutions that resonate with learners.
  • Collaborative synergy: Work alongside subject matter experts, partners, and external vendors to ensure the development of top‑notch learning materials.
  • Creative development: Develop high‑quality design concepts and storyboards, utilizing standard authoring tools to build impactful digital learning solutions.
  • Quality assurance: Ensure all content meets R&D learning standards and technical requirements, following Bayer R&D Training design and development processes. Conduct quality control and user acceptance testing to maintain excellence.
  • Project management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment while staying current on emerging learning technologies to enhance our offerings.

Key Working Relationships

You will engage with R&D Training SMEs across R&D, FOX L&D, QSM, CMO partners, external vendors, service providers, and the Pharma Learning Community, fostering a collaborative and innovative atmosphere.

Your Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Instructional Design or a related field.
  • 3+ years of instructional design experience.
  • Expertise in authoring tools and creative development software, with a strong portfolio showcasing digital learning assets.
  • A solid understanding of adult learning theory and instructional methods.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in regulated/scientific environments.
  • Exposure to AI‑enabled tools that enhance learning experiences.
  • Current residency in the United Kingdom.
  • Strong communication skills to foster collaboration and clarity.
