In this role, you will act as a scientific leader and strategic partner, ensuring the patient voice is embedded throughout the clinical development lifecycle.

You will lead the development and implementation of Clinical Outcome Assessment (COA) strategies, including Patient-Reported Outcomes (PROs), Clinician-Reported Outcomes (ClinROs), Performance Outcomes (PerfOs), and other patient-centred approaches that support regulatory, market access, and commercial objectives. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Health Outcomes Research, COA, PRO, or Patient-Centred Evidence professional looking to take on a highly visible global role, influencing clinical programmes across multiple therapeutic areas while working with cross-functional teams and external experts.

What you'll do:

  • Lead the development and execution of global Clinical Outcome Assessment (COA) strategies across multiple therapeutic areas, ensuring patient-centred evidence is embedded throughout the clinical development lifecycle.
  • Partner with Clinical, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Commercial, Digital Health, Market Access and Product Teams to select, implement and optimise COA approaches within clinical programmes.
  • Lead end-to-end COA projects, working with internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver high-quality, scientifically robust outcomes.
  • Provide expertise on regulatory requirements including content, psychometric validation, translation and cultural adaptation, and electronic COA (eCOA) implementation to support regulatory and commercial objectives.
  • Drive the interpretation and communication of COA data, contributing to regulatory submissions, scientific publications and evidence-generation activities.
  • Stay informed on emerging methodologies, industry standards and innovations within patient-centred outcomes research and clinical outcome assessments.

Who you are:

  • At least a Master's degree in Life Sciences, Psychology, Sociology, Psychometrics, Pharmacy, Biostatistics or a related field; PhD is preferred.
  • Significant experience (8+ years) in Health Outcomes Research, ideally with Clinical Outcome Assessments (COAs) and/or Patient-Reported Outcomes (PROs).
  • Strong understanding of COA methodologies, psychometric validation, evidence generation and global regulatory requirements.
  • Experience working across cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders within a complex global environment.
  • Knowledge of electronic COA (eCOA) implementation science, translation, and linguistic validation science, and/or digital health approaches.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.

What makes you successful:

  • Passionate about improving patient outcomes and advancing patient-centred drug development.
  • A strategic and scientific thinker who can translate complex evidence into meaningful business and patient impact.
  • Collaborative and influential, with the ability to lead without direct authority.
  • Highly organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a global matrix organisation.
  • Empathetic and inclusive, with strong relationship-building skills across diverse stakeholder groups.
