Bayer Consumer Health UK is seeking an enthusiastic Medical Affairs Manager to join our Medical Home team. In this role, you will be at the heart of scientific and medical strategy, guiding our commercial organization with your expertise and ensuring alignment with our Consumer Health division goals. You will collaborate with talented colleagues across the Medical Home, drive medical strategy execution, and represent Medical Affairs in category brand teams.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Generating and validating scientific data and claims
  • Communicating with healthcare professionals, patients, consumers, and internal teams such as marketing and communications
  • Building connections within the local scientific community
  • Managing relationships with Thought Leaders
  • Positioning Bayer Consumer Health as a trusted voice in therapeutic areas

The Medical Affairs Manager will advise the local commercial organization on scientific and medical topics related to the medical strategy and compliance in the therapeutic and healthcare brands aligned with our Consumer Health division strategy. The role involves:

  • Collaborating with other members of the Medical Home to ensure medical strategy execution
  • Representing Medical Affairs in category brand teams
  • Generating and substantiating scientific data, claims, and news
  • Communicating to HCPs, patients, consumers, and internal customers
  • Representing Bayer CH within the local scientific community
  • Managing Thought Leader engagement
  • Fostering a learning environment for commercial colleagues
  • Providing medical expert statements for regulatory, legal, and communication purposes

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Medical or Life Science degree
  • Experience in the Consumer Health industry (previous work in Medical Affairs and/or clinical research and development is desired)
  • Knowledge of the local UK Consumer Health market
  • Good understanding of the local UK regulatory environment
  • Strong fluency in English (written and spoken)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Creative and innovative mindset
  • Strong, collaborative, and flexible team player
  • Proactiveness in your area of responsibility to create value with Bayer's customers and consumers

  • Able to interpret and assimilate scientific data
  • Previous experience on key opinion leader engagement strategy development

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary: £65,000 – £80,000 per annum depending on experience. Salary reviews occur annually in April.
