Facility: Bardmoor Outpatient and Surgery

Location: Largo, FL

Status: Full Time

Shift Hours: 6:00am-2:30pm

Weekend Work: 3 on 1 off

On Call: No

Responsibilities

  • Collecting, receiving and processing of inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing
  • Communications with nursing regarding patient specimens
  • Referring specimens to outside laboratories
  • Interaction with physicians, clients and staff regarding referral lab tests
  • Performance of phlebotomy procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Credentials

  • Driver's License in the State of Florida
  • Required ASPT (Phlebotomy Technicians) or ASCP or AMT (Medical Technologists) or Paramedic or EMT (Emergency) or Medical Technologist or Medical Technologist Eligible to obtain or LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) in the State of Florida or RN (Registered Nurse) in the State of Florida

Education

  • Required High School or equivalent

Experience

  • 6 months in lab support and 6 months BayCare related - Required
  • 1 year of lab support - Preferred
