Front of House Staff/Server- Part Time

Bayberry Hollow is a small, family-run retail and hospitality business established 9 years ago in Tanfield Village, Stanley. Our bistro is known for hearty, home-made food, friendly service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that keeps our customers coming back time and again.

Following a recent full renovation, we now operate with a state-of-the-art kitchen, a fully integrated EPOS system, and a refreshed, modern look — but at our heart, we remain committed to the same great service and quality food we\’ve built our reputation on.

We are currently looking for an experienced Server to join our team on a temporary basis until January 2026. This role is part-time, offering 16–24 hours per week, and will include weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, professional, full table service to all guests.
• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and attentive manner.
• Take and serve orders accurately, including food and beverages.
• Explain menu items, specials, and promotions to guests.
• Maintain a clean and organised dining area.
• Handle customer payments and operate the till with accuracy.
• Work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house team to ensure smooth service.
• Uphold high standards of food hygiene, health, and safety.
• Address customer queries and resolve issues courteously.

Requirements

• Previous waiting experience is essential (barista skills are required).
• A genuine passion for customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a busy, fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Reliability and a positive, can-do attitude.
• A car is essential due to our village location.
