SOC-IP ARCHITECT Cambridge- or- Bristol, England, United Kingdom Remote UK is another possibility The office is in Cambridge Remote/hybrid with (mildly) occasional travel to Cambridge Must be ILR or British National, Baya is not able to sponsor Visas About the role: We are seeking an SoC hardware architect to work on network-on-chip and/or cache-coherency IP specifications. This is an opportunity to play a key role in one of the industry’s most happening startups, shaping our technology portfolio, bringing expertise and creativity to our solutions Responsibilities: Develop hardware architectures for Baya products Explore options and validate architectural choices, using different modelling techniques as appropriate Write specifications Collaborate with hardware and software engineering teams to ensure accurate execution against architecture Collaborate with customer-support team to ensure detailed understanding of architecture Interact with lead customers to understand and meet their requirements Qualifications and Preferred Skills: BS, MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science 8+ years and current hands-on experience in SoC architecture or microarchitecture In-depth understanding of digital hardware for some or all of cache-coherency, NoC, D2D interfaces, or other system IP Experience of large SoC projects including system-level understanding of some or all of place-and-route, RAS, security, interface-IP, QoS In-depth understanding of AMBA and other standard on-chip interfaces Experience with modern programming/source-control/scripting eg Python/Git is a plus Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Strong communication and collaboration skills Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience Performance incentives Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits Equity rich.goldstein@bayasystems.com
