Job Overview

Are you looking to begin your career in social services? Being a Therapeutic Mentor at Bay State Community Services (BSCS) offers support and training within a team-based approach to make a difference for youth needing behavioral health supports.

Responsibilities

• Making authentic connections with youth (males, females, non-binary confirming).
• Collaborating with the youth’s team.
• Developing activities to enhance social skills, communication, and peer relationships.
• Applying strength-based interventions to address behavioral health needs.
• Supporting youth and families in creating risk management plans with a master-level clinician.
• Driving is required.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services and 1 year relevant experience, OR
• Associate’s degree in Human Services and 1 year relevant experience, OR
• High School Diploma or GED with at least 2 years relevant experience.

Must be 21 or older. Males strongly encouraged to apply to support male youth in the program.
