The Area Sales Manager role will add to our high-performing team and contribute to Bay-Lynx UK’s ongoing growth and expansion. In this position, you will be responsible for maximising sales opportunities and driving revenue growth from existing accounts and new business development. You will be required to be the go-to person for technical support and compliance for our build program and HGV compliance., including whole vehicle type approval. Your primary focus will be on the North of England & Scotland., Reporting to the UK sales manager, you will be empowered and supported by our extensive marketing and trade show plan to identify and analyse potential new sources of business that fall into the new markets category. In this role, you will develop profitable relationships with our current customers and seek new industry opportunities.

We seek enthusiastic talent and would love to speak with individuals from backgrounds in plant sales, tipper sales, drum mixer sales, or rental services. Additionally, we are interested in individuals who can lead the technical sales element of our business. If you are currently in a Chassis dealership role or other heavy good vehicle manufacturing role and are looking to advance your career into capital/Technical sales or if you are looking for a fresh challenge and career progression, this is an opportunity to utilise your skills and add value to Bay-Lynx.

Very importantly, you will have demonstrable experience in a customer-facing sales role, technical sales within HGV, and plant/heavy equipment sales directly from the concrete mixer/ volumetric industry or chassis manufacturers.

You should have a minimum of three years of experience. As a vital sales team member, you will help drive the organisation’s evolution to achieve peak performance and foster a healthy, high-performing culture.

You will be expected to help drive clear organisational objectives and processes. You must have a fundamental understanding of customer service excellence and be able to engage with our clients and develop lasting relationships.

Key Requirements:

Previous technical sales experience with Heavy Goods Vehicles

Hands-on Knowledge of Iso 9001 and compliance.

An understanding of the Body Building Process.

Understanding Of Whole Vehicle Type Approval.

Demonstrate an understanding of the target construction market and its culture.

Ability to create and build on new and existing business.

Proven track record in sales.

Possess excellent communication skills.

Can work independently and as part of a team.

Supportive of colleagues and able to adapt.

Be self-motivated and target-driven

Have good strategic planning skills and the ability to manage time efficiently.

Have a good understanding of IT, e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, and CRM systems.
