The Area Sales Manager role will be an addition to our high-performing team and contribute to Bay-Lynx UK’s ongoing growth and expansion. In this position, you will be responsible for maximising sales opportunities and driving revenue growth from existing accounts and new business development. Your primary focus will be on the south of England, including supporting the development of our new location in Basingstoke., Reporting to the UK sales manager, you will be empowered and supported by our extensive marketing and trade show plan to identify and analyse potential new sources of business that fall into the new markets category. In this role, you will develop profitable relationships with our current customers and seek out new opportunities within the industry as a whole by promoting our parts and service offerings and range of equipment.
We are seeking enthusiastic talent and would love to speak with individuals from backgrounds in plant sales, tipper sales, drum mixer sales, or rental services. Very importantly, you will have demonstrable experience in customer-facing sales roles within plant/heavy equipment sales directly from the concrete mixer/ volumetric industry or other similar sectors, such as general sale sectors (excavators, tele-handlers, etc.)
You should have a minimum of three years of hands-on sales experience. As a vital member of the sales team, you will help drive the organisation’s evolution to achieve peak performance and foster a healthy, high-performing culture.
You will be expected to help drive clear organisational objectives and processes. You must have a fundamental understanding of customer service excellence and be able to engage with our clients and develop lasting relationships.
Key Requirements:
Previous sales background Capital sales or parts and service.
Demonstrate an understanding of the target construction market and its culture.
Ability to create and build on new and existing business.
Proven track record in sales.
Possess excellent communication skills.
Can work independently and as part of a team.
Supportive of colleagues and able to adapt.
Be self-motivated and target-driven
Have good strategic planning skills and the ability to manage time efficiently.
Have a good understanding of IT, e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, and CRM systems.
