Overview
Bay Court Nursing Home, a Nursing and Residential home in the seaside town of Budleigh Salterton, is registered to accept 29 residents. We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable person with a good sense of humour and a passion for making a difference to people20s lives to join our hard working and dedicated team.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with all aspects of personal care (toileting, bathing and dressing) whilst encouraging independence and ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
- Enhance and promote residents20 quality of life.
- Ensure high levels of person-centred care.
- Ensure every resident is treated with warmth, respect and kindness.
- Comply with all Manual Handling and Health and Safety Equipment Policies.
- Assist residents with life-story materials and encourage discussions about their interests, memories and ambitions.
- Maintain all residents20 records and provide written and verbal reports, ensuring confidentiality.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
Requirements
- Experience: One year providing care.
- NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (preferred but not essential).
- Hard-working, honest and reliable.
- Willing to learn and expand knowledge of care.
