Bay Court Nursing and Residential Home are seeking a Kitchen Assistant who might also be able to work as a Supper Cook in the afternoons joining our friendly caring team. We have two full time cooks who do a brilliant job and we are looking for someone who is looking for a part time role, ideally covering Monday and Tuesday mornings.
It is a lively and rewarding atmosphere at Bay Court. You will get to know the residents well and they are great fun and enjoy the home cooked food which you will prepare. You will have a large team around you in the home and will be working in the purpose built kitchen. We have 5 star food hygiene and keeping a clean and tidy environment is important to us. Working in the kitchen you will get to know the whole team including domestics, nurses, carers, maintenance and managers.
Duties to include
- Food preparation and serving of hot and cold meals to our residents, ensuring all special dietary needs are met
- Washing up
- Meeting the needs of residents dietary requirements
- Maintaining a safe and hygienic work environment
- You will maintain records and stock rotation
- To be able to interact and communicate with the elderly
- Hours: Approx. depending on the candidate 12/36 hours per week, we are a flexible employer
