We are looking for a food service assistant at our location in Coven, Wolverhampton. The role will be working within a small team, assisting with all aspects of the busy staff restaurant, including front of house, general cleaning duties, and stock management.

As a General Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting various aspects of our operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning and excellent customer service:
- Assist in the preparation and serving of food and beverages, maintaining high standards of hygiene and presentation
- Support hospitality services as required, ensuring a welcoming environment for customers and guests
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen, dining, and service areas
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations across all areas
- Provide friendly and professional customer service to students, staff, and visitors
- Undertake various administrative tasks to support the smooth running of the facility
- Assist with stock management and inventory control
- Support the set-up and breakdown of events or meetings as needed
- Adapt to changing priorities and assist in other areas of the organisation as required
Qualifications:
- Experience in a catering, food service, or customer-facing environment is desirable but not essential
- Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety practices; Level 1 Food Safety Certificate is advantageous
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, customer-focused attitude
- Keen attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work various shifts, including weekends and evenings if required
- Ability to multitask and prioritise workload efficiently
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
