Job Description
Caterlink are recruiting for a Food Safety and Health and Safety Advisor to work across our South and South West region, working as part of our Food Safety and Health and Safety Team. You will be taking a key role in driving standards of excellence, building strong relationships and leading by example as well as having the opportunity to build on your skills and knowledge through career development training.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional food safety, health & safety and related support to the Food Safety and Health and Safety team and Operations team as required.
- Support during the investigation of all accidents, alerts and near misses, ensuring these are recorded and processed in line with company procedures in a timely manner. Also ensuring electronic systems (Prime) are updated accordingly.
- Support for developing, engaging and rolling out safety initiatives and information to meet the company’s expectations.
- Support the development of a strong safety culture.
- Support on the investigation of alleged food poisoning investigations and food safety related complaints.
- Visiting sites to ensure Caterlink’s policies and processes are being fully implemented and reporting your findings.
- Support of changes to food legislation or company policy implementation.
- Liaising with Caterlink’s 3rd party auditing contractor.
The role will require occasional overnight stays.
Qualifications
- Qualified to Level 3 in Food Safety and Health and Safety.
- To demonstrate an understanding of what it means to drive a safety culture.
- A professional approach to time, costs and working to deadlines.
- Possess excellent communication skills.
- Good organisation skills.
- Experience of working in the catering sector is desirable.
- Must have full driving licence and own car. (A car allowance will be paid as part of the benefits provided)
