Salary: Up to £55,000 plus performance‐related bonus

As a People Business Partner, you will work closely with senior operations teams to develop and implement the BaxterStorey UK People Plan, ensuring that our workforce is engaged, supported, and aligned with our business growth.

Job Description

  • Act as a trusted partner to Operations and team members.
  • Provide advice to leaders on the employment life‐cycle, including onboarding, learning & development, recognition, engagement, performance management, employee relations and retention.
  • Support and facilitate the annual performance management process for the regions.
  • Identify the need for organizational design/structure changes and partner with regional leaders to manage any required changes.
  • Partner with Resourcing Manager for the recruitment and selection of management and culinary talent.
  • Support Management Induction and Onboarding activity. Partner with L&D to ensure People Development is high on the agenda.
  • Conduct exit interviews for management and above, identify trends and work with leaders to create action/retention plans.
  • Analyse regional annual engagement results and partner with leaders to create action planning to enhance engagement; develop and facilitate pulse surveys as required.
  • Drive succession planning within the region at Management level and above, ensuring an internal talent pipeline.
  • Attend and present at regional patch meetings on all matters spanning the employment life‐cycle.
  • Ensure monthly people reports are created and shared with the Regional Managing Director, highlighting trends and themes.
  • Work closely with the Business and Support teams on all matters relating to pay awards, bonus, benefits, senior level contracts etc. to ensure governance and parity.
  • Get involved in sales and tender presentations to represent the Business in People related matters, particularly where TUPE is involved.
  • Partner with the ER team and be closely involved with any high‐level employee relations activity, up to and including tribunal.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in all People related activity for the Business and proactively propose and execute innovative People initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Solid generalist HR experience, partnering with the Business at all levels.
  • In‐depth knowledge and understanding of HR policy, process, and employment legislation.
  • Ability to think creatively and work autonomously using own initiative.
  • Great influencing skills and credibility to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Commercially focused thinker at an operational and strategic level.
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering people‐related change initiatives.
  • Good knowledge and experience of using HR systems.
  • Experience with all aspects of the employee lifecycle, from recruitment to L&D, employee relations and ED&I.
