We are expanding and are looking for a Night Chef to take the next step on the management ladder to work in a facility that is less than 2 years old feeding Amazon Associates.
Job Opportunity
- Position: Night Chef
- Location: Amazon LBA5, LS9 0DZ
- Pay Rate: £14.25 per hour
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week 7:30pm – 3:30am
- Working Pattern: 5 nights over 7 (including weekends)
- Overtime: Paid, if required
- Operation: 24/7 Site
Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced Night Chef to support the Head Chef in the night-to-night running of a busy food operation within a 24/7 operation.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the smooth running of daily food operations
- Maintain high standards of food preparation and hygiene
- Support with stock control, ordering, and organisation
- Lead and inspire junior staff when required
- Build positive, credible and collaborative relationships and communication methods with clients and other key stakeholders in the business
- Continually look to develop your team through mentoring, training, recognition and empowerment
- Create a culture of excellence with your team, continually striving to push the boundaries of brilliance through natural caring service, obsessive food standards and innovation
- Achieve business critical KPI's including Health and Safety, Sustainability, Financial and Governance
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience as a CDP or Senior CDP in a high-volume environment
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- A team player with a positive attitude and passion for food
- Flexibility to work weekends as part of a 5 over 7 schedule
Qualifications
- Proven experience working as a Chef
- Have an obsession for food and creating experiences
- You can demonstrate that managing, training, and supporting a team has been an important part of your career to date
- Financially astute, you are very analytical and know how to create and maintain budgets and drive commercial performance
- Excellent coaching, delegation and influencing skills
- Ability to prioritise multiple projects in a fast-paced, multi-faceted, creative environment and able to thrive under pressure
- Meticulous organisational abilities and a high attention to detail
- Empathetic, clear and highly effective verbal and written communication
- Ability to adapt to challenges and opportunities with a solution-oriented perspective
- Excellent strategic thinking and critical reasoning skills
