BAE SYSTEMS BROADOAK, Hilsea, Portsmouth. We are a Contract Catering Company called Baxterstorey and provide the Food Beverage and Hospitality services at BAE Broadoak in Portsmouth. We are a small team of 7 serving Breakfast and Lunch services along with our Coffee Bar, Retail and Salad / Deli Bar for the staff and management of BAE Systems.

We are looking for an experienced Kitchen Porter to join our small friendly team; Hours 34.5 hours per week Monday - Thursday 06.30am - 14.30pm, Friday 07.00am -12.00pm

Rate of Pay: £13.45 per hour

Job Description:

• Dishwashing - Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment either by hand or using industrial dishwashers
• Kitchen Cleanliness - Clean and sanitise kitchen surfaces, countertops, and food preparation areas. Empty rubbish bins and ensure proper disposal of waste materials
• Food Preparation - Assist chefs and cooks with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients
• Inventory Management - Assist in receiving, storing, and organising kitchen supplies and ingredients
• Compliance with Health and safety - maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen ensuring equipment is in good working order

Qualifications:

• Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects
• Good attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions
• Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and sanitation practices is a plus
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
