The Pump Room in Bath is looking for an Events Wash Up/Kitchen Porter to join the team and support the day-to-day running of the venue. The Georgian Pump Room has been the social heart of Bath for more than two centuries, with previous patrons including Jane Austen and Charles Dickens.

As an Events Wash Up/Kitchen Porter Assistant, you will receive the following industry-leading benefits:

Job Type: Full-Time, 40-hour contract. This role involves working 5 out of 7 days, Monday to Sunday, based on 40 hours per week. Some occasional evening work is required due to the nature of the business, so flexibility is essential. Predominantly evening shifts.

You will work closely with the team to create a nurturing and positive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of food in line with chef instructions
  • Keeping the kitchen and restaurant areas clean and tidy
  • Providing friendly, efficient, and hygienic service to customers
  • Flexibility to work in all kitchens, serveries, staff canteens, and reception spaces
  • Maintaining cleanliness and safety standards across all areas
  • Organising and cleaning catering storage areas
  • Receiving, inspecting, and storing goods and equipment
  • Assisting with food preparation and service when required
  • Reporting incidents, accidents, or irregularities promptly
  • Reporting broken equipment to the executive or head chef

Qualifications:

No experience necessary; a passion for excellent customer service and good food is enough, and we will provide training.
