Salary: £27k – £29k per annum

Job Description:

  • Supporting the day-to-day operations of the location, including recruiting and selecting employees that meet the needs of the location and BaxterStorey.
  • Assessing employee performance, recognising potential, and meeting their training needs as appropriate.
  • Holding regular team meetings to communicate targets, required standards, company, and client information.
  • Collaborating and supporting with the location General Manager to prepare budgets, maintain food costs, and maximise commercial opportunities.
  • Supporting the General Manager in developing and evolving client services at the location, regularly making adjustments and improvements as needed.
  • Providing prompt and efficient customer service while consistently exceeding expectations.
  • Monitoring customer feedback and producing an action plan based on the results.
  • Ensuring all food is presented and served in line within BaxterStorey’s standards, using innovation in the method and style of presentation and food service.
  • Assisting with recruiting appropriately skilled employees, assessing their performance, meeting their training needs, including supporting on managing any poor performance.
  • Supporting the General Manager in daily/weekly financial bookwork.
  • Meeting statutory and company requirements in Health and Safety, Food Safety, and environmental legislation and procedures.
  • Consistently looking at ways of maximising income through effective purchasing from nominated suppliers and creative merchandising.
  • Maintaining and helping deliver budgetary records and ensuring that all budgets are adhered to.
  • Assisting to complete stock takes on a monthly basis and evaluate and calculate the cost of sales results.
  • Conducting Food Safety and Health and Safety Risk Assessments and ensuring that all standards and procedures with regards to Hygiene and Safety are established and maintained in line with the company manual.
  • Liaising and supporting with your team members and ensuring best practices are adhered to.

Qualifications:

  • Have experience as a supervisor or assistant manager within a hospitality environment, ideally retail.
  • Experience in creating a thriving and successful working environment.
  • Possess excellent supervisory and communication skills.
  • Good delegation and influencing skills.
  • Able to demonstrate team development skills.
  • Have the ability to display a real passion for food and customer service.
