Searcys are looking for a Catering Co-Ordinator to support the General Manager in the day to day running of one of our City based Corporate Catering venues. As a Catering Co-Ordinator you will have a varied role that will include you working closely with the on site Events Team, handling all catering requests and event enquiries. You will also ensure all on site Health and Safety policies are adhered to as well as supporting the General Manager with HR practices. This venue is a short distance from Barbican and offers a Monday to Friday working pattern.

Responsibilities:

  • Handling of room catering requests from enquiry stage to confirmation.
  • Working with clients to agree event requirements.
  • Establish client’s budget, preferences, and submitting quotes.
  • Booking and administration of all catering requirements, including any maintenance requests.
  • Ensuring that the training matrix is kept up to date.
  • Preparation of the weekly "Events Pack" ensuring that the information it contains is accurate and that any menu changes are agreed with the chef.
  • Preparation and collating of all billings and recharges to be given to client's finance department every month.
  • Ensuring that all accounting details of billing are calculated from the meeting costs, including labour, drink consumption and food costs.
  • To ensure all Health, Hygiene and Safety requirements are being adhered to as described in the Searcy Health & Safety Policies.
  • Maintaining records of personnel-related data (payroll, personal information, leaves, etc.) both on paper and on HR platforms.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience in a similar role / worked within Hospitality industry.
  • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently in a fast-paced and multi-tasking environment.
  • Great team player.
  • Has great attention to detail.
  • Possess excellent written communication skills.
  • Must possess strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of computer systems (Microsoft Office) is essential.
