Salary: £13.00 per hour

Location: Wirral, CH46 1PR

Shifts: Saturdays 4hrs per week 7:00am-11:00am (overtime available during the week when available)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Catering Assistant to join our team in the Wirral, United Kingdom. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food service area, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation, including washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients
• Serve meals and beverages to customers in a friendly and efficient manner
• Set up, clear, and clean dining areas, including tables, chairs, and floors
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, servery, and storage areas
• Operate and clean kitchen equipment, such as dishwashers and coffee machines
• Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
• Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and requests
• Participate in training programs and implement company policies

Qualifications

• Right to work in the United Kingdom
• Ability to pass an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check
• Strong work ethic with excellent customer service and communication skills
• Physical stamina and basic maths skills for job requirements
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
• Previous experience in catering or food service is preferred
• Knowledge of food safety and health & safety practices is desirable
