Kitchen Porter / General Assistant required for our busy on-site kitchen and restaurant. We are looking for a flexible, reliable, trustworthy, hardworking individual with great organizational skills to help keep the kitchen and restaurant running smoothly in busy times.
The role would include but would not be limited to:
- washing up pans, dishes, kitchen equipment both by hand and using a dishwasher
- letting deliveries in, putting them away and rotating stock as required
- general kitchen duties including basic prep and helping the chefs when and if required
- maintaining hygiene and food safety standards
- being happy to learn new areas of the business which could include serving on the counter and using a till
- being flexible to cover a Friday in the event of holidays or sickness if required
Hours of work would be 35 per week (Mon-Fri): Monday - Thursday 8.00 am - 3.30 pm, Friday 6.30 am - 2.00 pm (this includes 30 mins unpaid break). Rate of pay is £13.45 per hour.
Please be aware you would be required to have a Security clearance check and this could take up to 6 weeks if offered the job role.
Some knowledge of working in a catering establishment would be advantageous.
