Job Description:
- Support the day-to-day operations of the location, including recruiting and selecting employees that meet the needs of the location and BaxterStorey.
- Assess employee performance, recognise potential, and address training needs as appropriate.
- Hold regular team meetings to communicate targets, required standards, company, and client information.
- Collaborate with the location General Manager to prepare budgets, maintain food costs, and maximise commercial opportunities.
- Assist in developing and evolving client services at the location, making adjustments and improvements as needed.
- Provide prompt and efficient customer service while consistently exceeding expectations.
- Monitor customer feedback and produce an action plan based on the results.
- Ensure all food is presented and served in line with BaxterStorey’s standards, using innovation in the method and style of presentation and food service.
- Assist with recruiting appropriately skilled employees, assessing their performance, supporting them in managing any poor performance.
- Support the General Manager in daily/weekly financial bookwork.
- Meet statutory and company requirements in Health and Safety, Food Safety, and environmental legislation and procedures.
- Continuously explore ways of maximising income through effective purchasing from nominated suppliers and creative merchandising.
- Maintain and help deliver budgetary records and ensure that all budgets are adhered to.
- Help complete monthly stock takes and evaluate and calculate the cost of sales results.
- Conduct Food Safety and Health and Safety risk assessments and ensure all standards and procedures with regards to hygiene and safety are established and maintained in line with the company manual.
- Liaise with and support your team members to ensure best practices are adhered to.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a supervisor or assistant manager within a hospitality environment, ideally retail.
- Experience creating a thriving and successful working environment.
- Excellent supervisory and communication skills.
- Good delegation and influencing skills.
- Demonstrated team development skills.
- Passion for food and customer service.
