Location: North West including Manchester, Liverpool & Warrington

Salary: £36-39,000 per annum

Supporting the operations team through the Northwest Region that will include around 30 different locations. Travel expected within this position and a very hands-on approach.

We are seeking a highly organised and efficient Operations Support Manager to join our team in Scotland. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimising our operational processes, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate daily operations activities, ensuring efficiency and productivity across all departments
  • Develop and implement strategies to streamline processes and improve operational performance
  • Analyse operational data and key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction
  • Lead and mentor a team of operations staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operational goals with overall business objectives
  • Oversee project management activities related to operational improvements and new initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and health and safety standards
  • Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance to senior management
  • Manage relationships with key vendors and suppliers to maintain optimal service levels
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of long-term operational strategies

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in operations management or a similar role
  • A strong background in catering and hospitality
  • Proven track record in team leadership and supervision
  • Strong knowledge of operations management principles and best practices
  • Excellent project management skills with experience in process improvement initiatives
  • Proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with ERP systems
  • Outstanding organisational and time management abilities
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desirable
  • Understanding of supply chain and logistics processes
  • Willingness to travel within Scotland's central belt as and when required
