Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen General Assistant to join our team in Lifton, United Kingdom. In this role, you will provide essential support to our kitchen staff, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety. - Receive and store deliveries, checking items for quality and proper storage conditions
- Manage kitchen waste and recycling in accordance with organizational procedures
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including dishwashers, ovens, and food preparation tools
- Communicate effectively with kitchen team members to coordinate tasks and resolve any issues that arise
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or damaged items to supervisory staff
- Perform general kitchen maintenance tasks and assist with deep cleaning as needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in a kitchen or food service environment (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment
- Physical stamina and capability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
