Bartender - British Airways Lounges in Hounslow

As a Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting and serving high-quality beverages to our customers while providing exceptional service. Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages to customers, ensuring accuracy and consistency in taste and presentation. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and making personalized drink recommendations based on customer preferences. Create unique and innovative cocktail recipes, staying up-to-date with current trends in mixology and the beverage industry. Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including stocking and replenishing supplies such as liquor, glassware, and garnishes. Adhere to all relevant health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including responsible alcohol service practices. Maintain a thorough understanding of the menu, including knowledge of ingredients and preparation methods. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a smooth and efficient operation, including coordinating with servers and kitchen staff. Resolve customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally, striving to provide a positive experience for all guests. Assist in the preparation of ingredients and mise en place for various dishes, ensuring high standards of quality, taste, and presentation. Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring all ingredients, utensils, and equipment are readily available and in good working condition. Adhere to proper food safety and hygiene standards, including temperature controls, storage procedures, and sanitation practices, to maintain a safe and clean kitchen environment. Continuously expand knowledge of beverages, attending workshops, seminars, and tastings to enhance skills and stay informed about industry trends. Work in compliance with airport requirements: photographic ID, basic disclosure, and proof of past 5 years of work/education history needed for an airside pass.

Qualifications

• Have a contagious passion for bar service and/or customer service.
• Ability to adapt to challenges and opportunities with a solution‑oriented perspective.
• Previous experience in a similar role, especially in the food service industry, is often a plus.
• Some knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
