Are you a keen individual with a passion for delivering great experiences and have a great eye for detail? The Front of House & Events Supervisor position is perfect for you! As our Front of House & Events Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following:
- Plan, organize, and execute conferences, meetings, and events according to client specifications and departmental standards.
- Coordinate event logistics, including venue setup, audiovisual equipment, and catering arrangements.
- Collaborate with clients, event planners, and vendors to ensure smooth event operations and exceed client expectations.
- Oversee event registration and coordinate with relevant departments to address any special requests or issues during events.
- Lead and manage a team of event staff.
- Assist with the daily upkeep and operation of the Cafe to ensure high standards are kept and guest satisfaction is maintained.
- Conduct training sessions to ensure staff members are well-versed in event procedures, service standards, and safety protocols.
- Assign duties and responsibilities to team members and provide guidance and support as needed.
- Monitor staff performance, provide constructive feedback, and implement corrective measures when necessary.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients during events, addressing their needs and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Build strong relationships with clients, understanding their event objectives, and offering suggestions to enhance their experience.
- Proactively communicate with clients to ensure their requirements are met and provide timely updates throughout the event planning process.
- Maintain a high standard of service excellence, ensuring that all events meet or exceed client expectations.
- Conduct regular inspections of event spaces and equipment to ensure they are clean, organized, and in good working condition.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food handling guidelines, and other relevant policies and procedures.
- Continuously identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices to enhance event operations.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service to clients and guests, ensuring their needs are met and their expectations are exceeded in both our Cafe and during events.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the food preparation and service areas, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Success in a similar role is vital to the position. Personal Alcohol License is beneficial to the role, although this will be provided if not currently obtained.
