Job Description: We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef de Partie to join our culinary team in Oxford, United Kingdom. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
- Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and standards set by the head chef and sous chef.
- Manage your assigned station, overseeing the production of all dishes within your area.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of your designated area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service and timely food preparation.
- Uphold strict food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
- Contribute to menu development by providing innovative ideas and suggestions.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in your section.
- Assist in inventory management and stock rotation for your station.
- Participate in quality control measures, ensuring consistent taste and presentation of dishes.
- Adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie, Commis Chef, or in a similar culinary role.
- Culinary diploma or relevant certification in the culinary arts.
- Some knowledge of various cooking techniques and international cuisines an advantage.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation practices.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using professional kitchen equipment and tools.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Keen attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
- Knowledge of menu planning and food cost control.
- Creative mindset with a passion for culinary innovation.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
