We are seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Material Planner to join our supply chain team based in Fochabers. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the admin processes within Oracle to ensure no unnecessary delay from order to delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Release any orders based on Oracle recommendations on a daily basis to ensure continued supply to Shop Floor, as per agreed material planning rules.
  • Confirm that releases made have been received by supplier and that the order is being processed.
  • In conjunction with Stores Dept, arrange any uplifts required to ensure delivery arrives on time.
  • Cross‑check deliveries due to site with bookings made to Stores Dept and ensure all orders are still scheduled to arrive on time.
  • Regularly run the reschedule report and take any necessary action to prevent both material shortages and excesses.
  • Check for any orders that are overdue and take the necessary action to update, including escalation of any issues arising from this.
  • Communicate any material shortage at the Daily Shortage Meeting detailing impact on Schedule and best available delivery dates.
  • Support any business initiatives regarding SMOG Prevention, Technical Improvements, etc. to ensure these are incorporated into forward material plans.
  • Any other duties to support the supply chain function.

  • Effective communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Ability to work independently whilst being a collaborative team player in a fast‑paced environment.
