Our Compounding team in Thetford is recruiting for Production Technicians to join the team. You will be manufacturing life-saving products such as nutrition, chemotherapy and antibiotics that are sent directly to patients in their homes and hospitals all over the world. In our team, we pride ourselves in our 100% commitment to our patients and therefore we work hard, being dedicated to delivering high-quality products at all times. We are striving to make Baxter a great place to work and promote a healthy work/home life balance. Our night shift works Sunday - Thursday 20:00-04:00 which is often perfect for those that need to be home for the school run or want their weekends off. We offer a salary of £25,600 and a weekly shift allowance of £85.38.
No experience is required as we offer fantastic training to ensure you are compliant and comfortable. This is a fantastic opportunity to try a new industry and learn new skills. We have previously hired candidates from hospitality, customer service, education, care, and retail backgrounds. The skills that make a fantastic Production Technician are caring, motivated and a strong work ethic. We also welcome candidates who have a strong background in manufacturing/GMP and want to work for an organisation that offers career progression and continuous learning. There are 3 areas within compounding in classified cleanrooms. You will be required to wear PPE. If you have been wanting to try something new then this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesOur process is 100% reliant on you and therefore your everyday duties and responsibilities as part of our team are:
- To manufacture life-saving products in accordance with approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- To perform routine quality checks on the product as part of the manufacturing process.
- To correctly record detailed data on batch paperwork and quality documents following Good Documentation Practices at all times.
- To perform and record all cleaning for the equipment and areas of work as and when required as defined in the relevant SOPs.
- To notify Team Leader/Supervisor/Manager/Quality assurance of any deviations from the process and take part in correcting mistakes under the guidance of your Team Leader and Quality department.
- To perform all tasks requested by Team Leader.
As full training is provided, there is no set experience that we look for. We do however believe that someone who is attentive, has strong attention to detail and a positive attitude will be an excellent fit for this role. Other things that we look out for are excellent communication skills. You might have this from working in hospitality, customer service or care.
