The UKI Bids & Tender Team forms a critical part of the Baxter Healthcare Commercial Excellence function. We require a dynamic and highly engaged Tender Specialist with experience in producing professional proposal content to support our mission of providing industry leading healthcare products and solutions which Save and Sustain Lives.
Responsibilities include:
- Identification of tender opportunities via FTS, Contracts Finder and other relevant portals.
- Support the EOI, RFI, SQ, RfP and ITT requirements of all UK & Ireland Baxter Healthcare Business Units.
- Manage the bid qualification (bid / no bid) process for new opportunities.
- Delivery of compliant, professionally produced proposals within customer defined timeframes.
- Ownership of the written proposal – both in terms of content and presentation.
- Analysis of scoring mechanisms to ensure the tender has the potential to achieve the maximum score.
- Co-ordinate and review / edit proposal input from a variety of key stakeholders.
- Champion document management, version control and change control best practices.
- Be the central point of contact for any queries / clarification during the tender process.
- Ensure all tender submissions are submitted compliantly and accurately prior to deadline.
- Arrange debrief with customers post contract award.
- Communicate debrief inputs / outputs to key stakeholders.
- Impart information, share cross-divisional best practice and knowledge.
- Support processes and cross-functional working practices that improve capability and performance.
- Actively promote, support and drive change in a positive manner.
- Participate in review, update and improve processes and systems.
- Build relationships and work closely with key stakeholders.
Knowledge / Skills / Experience:
- Educated to Degree (BA / BSc) Level.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels.
- Excellent Microsoft Office Skills, incl. Excel, Word and PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Previous demonstrable experience in Tender / RFP submissions and associated Pricing.
- Knowledge of NHS Procurement procedures / terminology.
- Confidence to hold and facilitate tender kick-off and review calls.
- Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise workload across multiple projects effectively.
- Flexible and adaptable, works effectively under pressure and to challenging deadlines.
- Methodical with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Team player.
- Ability to build strong working relationships - internally and externally.
- Ability to proactively seek opportunities to increase value by raising standards and championing best practices.
- Boost / SFDC / JDE experience desirable but not essential.
