Our Compounding team in Thetford is currently recruiting for a Production Technician to join a new, purpose built department. This is an investment into innovative technology to semi-automate our compounding process to increase productivity, reduce elements of the strenuous nature of manual compounding and allow for additional growth to enable us to serve more patients products. You will be manufacturing pharmaceuticals such as antibiotics and chemotherapy.
You will assist with all day-to-day tasks of preparation, manufacturing and inspection of compounding medicine. The Production Technician will provide support for all aspects of cleanroom production, including aseptic compounding, equipment utilisation, inventory control, environmental monitoring to ensure compliance with the Manufacturing Licence and Quality System requirements. This is a fantastic opportunity and we are looking forward to building an enthusiastic high performing team to make this new purpose built department a great success and an exemplar EMEA Compounding.
You will work Monday – Friday rotating shifts of 06 : 00-14 : 00 and 13 : 00-21 : 00 however you will be required to work days during training so we do ask for some flexibility. We offer a salary of £25,600 and a weekly shift allowance of £45.35 per week as well as some great benefits.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Labelling
- Label all product types according to product specifications
- Perform equipment checks
- Dispensing
- Manufacture all product types in accordance with SOPs
- Validate aseptic technique
- Maintain productivity and efficiency
- Control isolator inventory
- Sanitise equipment and components in accordance with SOPs
- Complete routine equipment sampling, maintenance and testing
- Report sanitisation deviations
- Facility Monitoring
- Clean and maintain all areas in accordance with SOPs
Experience required
- GCSE or equivalent English & Mathematics
- Aseptic technique knowledge would be preferred but is not essential
- Understanding of cleanroom requirements, behaviors and activities would be preferred but is not essential
- GMP knowledge is essential
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail
- A sense of compassion and understanding of where our product is going (to patients in hospitals or in their homes)
