An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Design Engineer to join a well-established building services consultancy delivering projects across a wide range of sectors. This role offers the chance to develop your technical expertise across the full project lifecycle, supporting senior engineers while contributing to high-quality electrical design solutions. You’ll work within a collaborative team environment, gaining exposure to both design and site-based activities.

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will support the delivery of electrical design packages from concept through to completion. Working closely with senior engineers and multi-disciplinary teams, you’ll contribute to project success through technical delivery, coordination, and continuous development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development of project briefs and design criteria
  • Support electrical design across a variety of projects and sectors
  • Attend client and design team meetings where required
  • Contribute to the production of drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Produce or assist with services performance calculations
  • Support coordination of building services with wider design teams
  • Assist the Team Leader/Client Interface on project delivery
  • Work closely with the CAD team to produce accurate design outputs
  • Support BREEAM-related activities where required
  • Assist in reviewing contractor design proposals and performance
  • Develop site understanding through visits and progress monitoring
  • Work collaboratively within a team to deliver successful project outcomes
  • Engage in Continued Professional Development (CPD)
