An established sustainability consultancy is looking to recruit a BREEAM Consultant to support the delivery of high-quality sustainability and environmental assessment services across a varied portfolio of UK projects. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team, work closely with leading architects and developers, and broaden your expertise across multiple sustainability frameworks.
The Role
As a BREEAM Consultant, you will play a key role in supporting and delivering sustainability assessments from planning through to completion. You will work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure projects achieve their environmental objectives while remaining compliant with current UK legislation and standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering BREEAM New Construction assessments from early design through to certification
- Acting as a BREEAM Approved Professional (AP) where required
- Leading and attending meetings with architects, developers and wider design teams
- Managing sustainability tasks in line with agreed budgets and programme requirements
- Producing high-quality planning reports, technical documents and presentations
- Monitoring project progress and highlighting risks or concerns
- Working in line with UK legislation, British Standards, Codes of Practice and planning policy
- Supporting dynamic thermal modelling, overheating, daylight analysis and building regulations compliance
- Completing LCA and LCC assessments using One Click LCA
- Supporting internal quality assurance procedures
- Expanding skills into other assessment methods such as LEED, WELL and Fitwel
- Developing knowledge of renewable energy technologies and feasibility studies
About You
- BREEAM Assessor qualified (or working towards)
- Experience delivering BREEAM New Construction projects
- Strong understanding of UK planning and building regulations
- Confident communicator with experience liaising with design teams and clients
- High attention to detail with strong written and presentation skills
- An interest in developing broader sustainability and building performance expertise
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm (1-hour lunch)
- Flexibility required to meet project and business needs
