Overview
In this Account Manager role, you will drive growth for Baxter’s Patient Support Systems across London and the South East by targeting capital equipment opportunities and NHS/private healthcare accounts. You will lead cross-functional work to secure large-scale bed replacement projects and expand Baxter’s presence in strategic customers. You’ll balance strategic planning with hands-on sales, delivering value through compelling business cases and stakeholder engagement. Responsibilities
- Identify and secure new opportunities across Baxter’s Patient Support Systems portfolio
- Drive market share growth via competitor displacement and conversions
- Target capital replacement programmes including acute bed replacements and safe patient handling
- Develop territory plans to meet sales and profitability targets
- Prioritise growth in London accounts and NHS Trusts
- Lead the sales process from opportunity to contract award and post-sale support
- Manage complex multi-stakeholder sales cycles and procurement routes
- Build business cases aligning clinical, operational and financial objectives
- Negotiate agreements while protecting profitability and delivering customer value
- Navigate NHS procurement frameworks and tender environments
- Grow existing customer relationships and identify expansion opportunities
- Upsell and cross-sell Baxter solutions across patient care environments
- Build trusted senior stakeholder relationships across clinical, procurement, and leadership roles
- Use data insights to optimise local sales strategies and performance
- Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance the customer experience
- Utilise CRM to track funnel and engagements
Key requirements
- Minimum 5 years in medical devices, healthcare technology, or capital equipment sales
- Proven success selling into NHS acute care environments
- Experience closing large-scale capital equipment projects and managing complex cycles
- Must reside on the territory
- Strong hunter mentality with ability to identify and win new business
- Outstanding negotiation, communication and presentation skills
- Experience leading complex multi-stakeholder opportunities
- Strong commercial acumen and financial understanding
