We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an Electrical Bias to support the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all site utilities working rotating shifts Monday-Sunday 06:00-18:00/18:00-06:00. The role involves maintaining and improving plant services such as steam, compressed air, water systems, HVAC, and electrical infrastructure. We offer a starting salary of £55,167. We are keen to speak with experienced Utilities multiskilled Engineers who are looking for a meaningful new role within a fast-paced team. As a key member of our organisation, you will be pivotal in leading all aspects of the sustainability and evolution of utilities engineering processes. Collaborating closely with the operational maintenance & facilities department, you will ensure the reliable delivery of critical utilities systems to meet the needs of our end users.

Duties & responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults on utilities plant and equipment
  • Maintain and troubleshoot control panels, MCCs, drives, and instrumentation
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical systems
  • Support upgrades, installations, and electrical projects
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations
  • To have the ability to read and understand electrical drawings and technical specifications
  • Maintain utilities including: Boilers and steam systems, Compressed air systems, Water treatment and RO systems, HVAC and ventilation systems, Sterilisers
  • Carry out fault finding, repair, and preventative maintenance
  • Support shutdown activities and major maintenance works
  • Identify root causes of failures and implement corrective actions
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase reliability and efficiency
  • Assist with energy reduction and sustainability projects
  • Ensure all work complies with site SOPs, permits, and safety procedures
  • Participate in risk assessments, method statements, and audits
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records

Experience required:

  • Experienced engineer with electrical bias (NVQ Level 3 / HNC or equivalent)
  • Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Experience working with: Motors, drives, PLCs (basic fault finding), Control systems and instrumentation
  • Experience within utilities / plant environment: Steam, water, HVAC, or compressed air systems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience of working in a regulated environment
