Process Operative - Sterilisation

Baxter Thetford are looking for a Process Operator to join our fast-paced team within Sterilisation. This role is rotating shifts, Monday-Sunday between 06:00-18:00 and 18:00-06:00, which is 42 hours per week. This could look like 3 days on, 4 off, 2 nights on, 3 off etc. We offer a competitive salary and a weekly shift allowance of £109.86.

Responsibilities:

• Follow EHS/GMP/GDP/company and corporate policies and external regulatory requirements.
• Operate within the Baxter documentation procedures (BaxU) and requirements meeting all safety, quality and performance guidelines, ensuring batch paperwork is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Identify quality defects and reject them.
• Escalate issues to the team leader; may be involved in rectifying issues with support.
• Maintain the optimum line performance throughout the shift by adjusting the machine within validated parameters.
• Perform daily and weekly cleaning of the equipment and the area.
• Be actively involved in improvement programs, demonstrating a willingness to embrace new ways of working.

Qualifications:

• Experience in a GMP environment (pharma, food, FMCG).
• Quality focused with attention to detail on routine, repetitive tasks.
• Team-oriented with ability to share workload and collaboratively solve problems.
• High standards of behaviour while managing workload.
• Process-oriented with adherence to set standards and ways of working.
• Flexible, able to carry out varied tasks, adjust break timings, and work additional hours as required.
• Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment; punctuality and strong attendance.
• Good standard of English comprehension (speaking, reading, writing).
• Well organised and task-driven.
• Experience using forklift trucks is advantageous but not essential.
• Experience setting up and changing over machines is advantageous but not essential.
