Baxter Thetford is seeking a Process Operator for our Line 7, Automated Line. The role involves rotating shifts (Monday‑Sunday) between 06:00‑18:00 and 18:00‑06:00, totaling 42 hours per week. Shifts may rotate 3 days on, 4 off, 2 nights on, 3 off, etc. Compensation includes a competitive salary plus a weekly shift allowance of £109.86.
Candidates will be considered for all departments across the site, and placement will be aligned to skills. Duties may assist in issue rectification. Maintain optimum line performance throughout the shift by adjusting the machine within validated parameters. Perform daily and weekly cleaning of equipment and work area. Actively participate in improvement programs, embracing new ways of working.
Experience Required
- Experience working in a GMP environment (pharma, food, FMCG).
- Quality focused – able to perform routine, repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
- Team working – collaborate as part of a team and share workload fairly; supportively solve problems to achieve team targets.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour while managing workload.
- Process oriented – follow set standards and ways of working.
- Flexible – able to carry out varied tasks often at short notice, adjust break timings, work additional hours, and adjust hours as required by the business.
- Remain calm in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong punctuality and attendance.
- Good standard of English comprehension – able to understand written and verbal communication and speak, read, and write in English.
- Well‑organised and task‑driven.
- Experience using fork trucks advantageous but not essential.
- Experience setting up and changing over machines advantageous but not essential.
