With a starting salary of £52,000 per annum, Baxter Thetford are keen to speak with experienced Multi-skilled Mechanical Bias Maintenance Engineers who are looking for a meaningful new role within a fast-paced team. You will provide plant wide reactive and proactive maintenance and support new installations and engineering projects across site. A fantastic opportunity to join a team and company who are passionate about saving and sustaining lives and delivering the highest quality products to our patients. You will work rotating shifts Monday – Sunday, 06:00-18:00/18:00-06:00 and will be eligible for overtime at premium rates of pay.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Carry out all planned and reactive maintenance on production equipment.
  • Raise corrective and reactive maintenance dockets on Maximo.
  • Assist and support queries to identify improvements to the stores system.
  • Review planned and preventative maintenance procedures and suggest improvements.
  • Advance issues when necessary, in a timely manner.
  • Identify areas for improvement across site.
  • Deliver all activities at the standards required by GMP.

Experience & Education

  • HNC or equivalent in Mechanical and/or Electrical engineering.
  • High level Mechanical knowledge and overall engineering understanding in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
  • High degree of competency in Welding, Machine Lathe, and Milling.
  • High level working knowledge of Gear box, pumps, pneumatic & hydraulic systems.
  • Electrical knowledge of control panels, automation, and robotics.
  • Good level knowledge of electrical Safety, CCT, and controllers.
  • Work as part of a wider team but also show the ability to work independently.
