This is where your work makes a difference. We have an opportunity for a Packing Technician to join our team in Compounding on the late shift (13:00‑21:00). In Compounding we manufacture patient‑specific products such as chemotherapy, nutrition and antibiotics. You will be responsible for supporting the compounding operation which manufactures aseptically compounded products, following SOPs, GMP, GDP & EHS to ensure a high‑quality product at all times. You will work Monday‑Friday 13:00‑21:00.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Pack products of a high standard and release according to specific timeframes
- Perform routine quality checks on the product as part of the compounding process
- Check batch numbers thoroughly and escalate any problems
- Follow standard operating procedures
- Cover operators during periods of sickness/annual leave (you may be asked to work the AM shift on occasion)
- Understand that products are patient‑specific and must meet a high level of quality – always
- Perform and record all cleaning tasks for equipment and work areas as defined in the relevant SOPs
- Notify Team Leader/Manager and Quality Assurance of any deviations from the process
Experience Required
- Ability to communicate and work as part of a cross‑functional team; liaise with production and quality departments most days
- Strong work ethic and flexibility to meet business needs
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Previous experience in a GMP environment is an advantage
- Reasonable computer skills (MS Office: Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Excellent attention to detail (checking batch numbers and measurements)
- English & Mathematics GCSE or equivalent
