The Commercial Business Manager will be responsible for identifying and managing strategic opportunities within the Healthcare Systems and Technologies business across the UK and Ireland. This role requires a collaborative approach, working closely with the Head of Sales, National Sales Managers and Territory Account Managers, and other HST functions to drive key opportunities within the NHS to a successful close for the business. The Strategic Account Manager will play a crucial role in identifying opportunities at an early, pre-tender stage, ensuring efficient management of all key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities:- Managing, nurturing and maximizing existing partnerships with our major customers in collaboration with other internal stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for growth – Lead partnership development in major accounts.
- Develop relationships at senior levels within NHS establishments to access strategic buying influencers.
- To develop and present the PSS Baxter Total Bed Management offering to targeted NHS customers.
- Lead strategic tenders in cooperation with the tender team and internal/external partners.
- Work in cooperation with the Sales Manager and Account Managers to identify revenue opportunities for HST across all PSS portfolios.
- Work in cooperation with the Marketing team to ensure business goals and strategies are aligned.
- Engage with central purchasing groups and present the total value proposition of Baxter.
- Ensure close collaboration with the commercial operations team to ensure delivery of the key goals and objectives for the position.
- Proactively report and track the regional/national performance for pre-identified accounts and NHS Frameworks, analyse and define corrective or optimization plans, communicate the actions and results.
- Participate in the collection, analysis and reporting the market needs for new products and services or enhancements to existing offerings.
- Scan the market for potential partnerships, as required for customer centric approach.
- Launch new products and solutions.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Medical Sales, with a proven track record in sales and managing/growing large, strategic accounts.
- Experience within the UK bed and surfaces market – deep market insight highly beneficial.
- Customer focused mindset with a passion for improving healthcare delivery.
- Ability to work independently, but also collaboratively within a team.
- Proven track record of c-suite engagement.
- Strategic thinker - Build complex account plans, manage resources required.
