This Low Carbon Heating Technician (L3) course with Baxi gives you the opportunity to learn from experienced Gas & Heat Pump Engineers in the field, alongside studying for your Low Carbon Heating Technician Apprentice (Level 3) at college in Durham. You will study on a day release basis over the 36-month programme at a centre of excellence for technical training and education.

In your first year, as a Baxi Apprentice you’ll be given the opportunity to attend our specially designed Baxi Apprentice residential course. As well as having a lot of fun, you will develop a number of skills from leadership, to communication, to team working and apply this to our core company values - One Team, Customer Focus and Sustainable Future.

Application Requirements:

  • Based in the following locations – Cumbria
  • 1-2 years experience as qualified Gas Engineer
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to listen and follow instructions from your peers
  • Good practical skills
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to work
  • ACS Qualified
  • Must have a minimum GCSE Grade C /4 or above, or level 2 Functional skills equivalent in both Maths and English with Science desirable
  • The apprenticeship requires you to travel throughout its duration – so ability to travel and stay away from home for study blocks is essential.
  • Driving License
