An established, quality-focused hotel in Suffolk is looking for an experienced Senior Sous Chef to join its kitchen team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Sous Chef ready to step up, or an existing Senior Sous Chef looking for a long-term move offering quality food, a good work-life balance and genuine career development .
Working closely with the Head Chef, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, helping maintain consistently high standards while leading and developing the wider brigade.
The role will include:
Supporting the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
Leading and motivating the brigade during service
Maintaining consistently high food and presentation standards
Supporting menu development
Training and developing junior chefs
Stock control, ordering and kitchen organisation
Maintaining excellent food safety and hygiene standards
Taking responsibility for the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence
The ideal candidate will:
Have previous experience at Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef level
Come from a quality fresh-food hotel, restaurant or gastropub background
Be a confident, hands-on and supportive kitchen leader
Have strong organisational and communication skills
Be passionate about food quality and developing standards
Be looking for a stable, long-term opportunity
