Location: Preston area, Lancashire
Type: Full-time / Part-time depending on role
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 (DOE) + strong monthly service charge
We are working with an outstanding, independently owned property just outside Preston, think high-end bistro meets boutique hotel charm, with a thriving deli and a focus on quality, creativity, and consistency. They are quietly proud of their two AA Rosettes and even prouder of the warm, close-knit team who make it all possible.
Right now, they are looking for two talented chefs to join their growing kitchen team:
- Pastry Chef de Partie (35 hours per week)
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who is passionate about all things pastry from silky custards and fine patisserie to hearty bakes and creative plated desserts. 3 days a week you will work closely with the pastry chef, preparing stock and baked goods for their on-site deli. You will be trained up to eventually take this on independently. 2 days a week you will be in the main kitchen, producing refined, restaurant-quality desserts for a busy bistro service.
Who we are looking for:
- Solid pastry and baking skills are essential.
- Well-rounded kitchen knowledge; you’re confident jumping on other sections if needed.
- Someone who thrives on variety and has an eye for detail.
- A team player who enjoys learning and bringing new ideas to the table.
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 depending on experience, plus monthly service charge.
- Chef de Partie (Full-time, 5 days a week)
Perfect for a strong all-rounder who wants to level up in a fast-paced, high-standard kitchen without the stuffy fine dining culture. You will be managing your own section, contributing to a menu that changes regularly, and working closely with a friendly, experienced team.
Who we are looking for:
- You don’t need rosette experience, but you should have confidence, curiosity, and a desire to grow.
- Fresh cooking experience is ideal; this is a scratch kitchen using seasonal, quality ingredients.
- Great attitude, solid basics, and someone who’s ready to take their skills to the next level.
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 depending on experience, plus monthly service charge.
Why Apply?
- Be part of a close-knit, down-to-earth team that supports and trains each other.
- Work in a beautiful rural location with a genuine passion for good food and service.
- Excellent work-life balance and fair rotas.
- Real opportunity for growth within an award-winning environment.
